Calixto Saenz

An Electrical and Electronic Engineer with Masters in Plastics Engineering and major in Polymeric materials oriented to the micro/nano biomedical applications (Lab On a Chip) and biomaterials, with over nineteen years of skills and experience in management and research in biomedical labs and the technologies associated with the micro/nanofabrication such as photolithography, softlithography, thermal deposition, surface treatment, Direct nano-writing, 3D Nano printing, E-Beam technology, and with over fifteen years of experience in research and development of innovative polymer microfilms and devices using blowing & injection blowing, extrusion, thermoforming, providing applications in fields such as oncology, genetics, cardiology, gastroenterology, vascular biology, regenerative medicine, immunology, Cellular biology, neurobiology, drug delivery, nephrology, systems biology, biomaterials, hepatology, nutrition and food research among others.

Calixto has technical expertise in microfabrication design and development for biological and industrial applications, control of processes and instrumentation for polymer transformation in the micro/nano scale field. I have been able to develop, implement, and manage research aimed at introducing innovative devices, processes, and technologies combining polymer and microfabrication expertise in the biomedical and industrial fields.

Some of the collaborations include academic institutions such as and private institutions such as Boston Children's Hospital, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, MGH, etc. and academic institutions such as Harvard University, UMASS, Boston University, MIT, Texas Tech University, Brandeis University, among others

Belinda Jean-Calixte

Belinda earned a master's degree in Biotechnology Operations from Northeastern University. She has nine years of experience in microfabrication. She dedicates her time to enhancing microfluidics and supports researchers in completing their projects efficiently.
